Hello Kruno & Max and welcome to Space Sound Records
1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and what do you do?
KRUNO: I live in Krizevci.This is an old city in Croatia.I am by profession an agrotechnician and trader. I do various jobs inside and outside this profession.
MAX: I lived a while in Germany, however I returned to Croatia (Krizevci) a year ago . I am by profession a gas boiler serviceman.
2. How did you get involved in music and do you have a music background?
KRUNO: I worked for many years as a DJ . In  1988 I bought my first synthesizer which in my free time I  learned to play.In the mid 90-ies I bought an Amiga 1200, the Roland Alpha Juno-1 and worked with Octamed and Music-X software. I learned with my friends at home and I have no musical education. At that time I worked a lot with my friend Max, and at the end of 2010 we decided to launch a commercial project called Galactic Warriors. read more

Hello Riccardo and welcome to Space Sound Records
1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you do?
I do many things. Besides music, I deal with social science. I teach sociology at the Jagiellonian University, Cracow. I write books and articles, especially on the social impact of new technologies. I am also President of the Italian Transhumanist Association – an organization that promotes the use of new technologies to extend the human lifespan and to slow down the aging process.
2. How did you get involved in music and do you have a music background?
I started when I was a six year old child. At that time, the mother of my friend and neighbor was a music teacher. So I had access to many instruments and also to knowledge. When my parents noticed my interest for music, they sent me to a school where I learned to play piano. read more

Hello Mirko and welcome to Space Sound Records
1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you do?
Of course, I'm 33 years old teacher and live in a rather small village in Germany.
2. How did you get involved in music and do you have a music background?
It all started very early with one of these small Casio mini keyboards for Christmas. I loved music shows on TV and recorded them on audio cassettes and listened to them over and over again. For me, strong melodies and harmonies have always been very important and I got them mainly from 80's synth pop, melodic rock, and even from all those C64 and Amiga games and demos. I taught myself how to play the guitar (but I'm far from perfect) and keyboards but I've never studied music. read more

Special Interview with Michiel Van Der Kuy for Space Sound Records
 
Hello Michiel and welcome to Space Sound Records
1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you do?
I'm married and have a daughter that is 10 years old. For four years my family and I came back to Holland after a stay of 3 and a half years living in Spain (Barcelona-area). 8 years ago we decided to go there and to live there but we couldn't keep on. We missed our friends and family and decided to go back to Holland.
Now I live in a little town called Voorburg near The Hague. I work as a free-lancer in the video-production industry, as an editor, camera man and in sound-recording.

2. How did you get involved in music and do you have a music background?
I got involved in music because of my parents. As a young boy I started with piano-lessons, and later I received classical-education for piano. My favorite composer was and still is Frédéric Chopin. He is my hero. In those days I studied 6 hours a day behind the piano, I became a piano teacher. read more

The first one called Revelation Mix - Part A is a one hour long spacesynth mixed by incredible Martin Verlaan. In the set you will find the most famous stars of contemporary spacesynth, including new songs by Michiel Van Der Kuy & Rob Van Eijk made under Rygar. Moreover there are the newest compositions by Marco Rochowski, Anders Lundqvist, Prodomo, Galaxy Hunter, Dreamtime and many more from the sapcesynth genre. There are all main variants of spacesynth on the Part A, starting from a classical Laser Dance style represented before by: Koto, Area 51, Syntech. For mixing the Part B djeldiablo is responsible. This megamix consists of all records from a compilation like SSR "Italo Euro Disco vol .1" and additionally brand new songs by Quatrorama and Galaxy Hunter with the new record "My Juliet" from the new "Walk on water/Spacesynth odyssey 2010" album. Brilliantly mixed piece of music makes you listen to it in one go and this is one of the reasons we recommend this sound to all the fans and supporters of Italo and Euro Dicso. The two megamixes were designed as album content under the name of "Revelation Mix". Because of the fact it is download-free and it will not be published on CD-Audio we took care about people who will get the records and we gave them opportunity to make an imprint for the CD or a booklet for classic a jewel box. This is the time to thank Zbigniew Danielewicz for an intriguing photo from the cover and for Christopher Palich for preparing the graphical blueprint of the Revelation Mix. We give you an album which is special for us. It is a summary of a team work by SSR in 2010. With immense satisfaction we present our brand new release: Italo Euro Disco Volume 1. It is a compilation which is recorded in Italo/Euro Disco style. With this compilation we open a new chapter in the history of our label. The Italo Disco trend was one sign of identification for the 80's. Italo & Euro Disco still has lots of fans and enthusiasts and they still come not only because of classical achievements from under the ages but also thanks to performing music by modern artists. It is the music that is discovered by young people for whom the music is a kind of inspiration. On the CD we tried to keep a one of a kind atmosphere of Italo Euro Disco with a draw-back to an era of splendour regarding the trend, a dance scene of the 80's.
The CD Italo Euro Volume 1 is consisted of 14 songs. You can listen to the new track by Tiziana Rivale and Eddy Huntington, successful stars of the 80's. Moreover there are new songs by Elen Cora, Riccardo Campa, Galaxy Hunter, Retronic Voice, Mirko Hirsch, Marc Fruttero and Vision Talk.
Intensive work on this project lasted a year but now we are proud and pleased that we can give it to your hands. We hope the Italo Euro Volume 1 can be one of your most favorite compilations, having in mind. It was created most of all for you.

An official date of the premiere is set on 20th of February in Warsaw during an Italo Disco Party where there be either Eddy Huntington, Vision Talk and Riccardo Campa performing on stage.

After a year Galaxy Hunter is coming back from the furthest corners of the Universe bringing new portions of a great space music. The new album „Sleeping Child” is a continuation of the same style meaning the ones who liked the first album „We Came From Space”, will love the second one for sure. Also we wish new listeners pleasing impressions after hearing through the „Sleeping Child”. Entire album is a set of really interesting stories, starting from space travels, scientology, religious motives and even memories from 9/11. The Days of City Lodz/Poland. The 16th and 17th of May, 2009 - Galaxy Hunter performed a gig to promote their upcoming brand new album „Sleeping Child”. Few songs gave a great chance to feel a sensational and powerful energy of the music. Spacesynth is no longer an instrumental genre and it is not designed for a record purposes only. It can be performed with a success - live on stage.
Try some pictures and a movie from the concert yourself and feel the draught. Zbigniew Danielewicz played his new toys like Alesis Fusion 6HD synthesizer and Roland SPD 20 Electronic Pads while beautiful and sexy Anette Antkowicz sang her lines and also entertained the audience as a front-singer. Moreover the scene was especially created for the event where Star Wars and Space played main roles. We have already a new CD for you and this time it is an Italo Disco production which was produced entirely in Sweden. Vision Talk is a newborn band and they just have released a debut album „Dirty Italo Disco”. Their music is a great mix of Italo Disco and Minimal Synthpop. Both Krister and Martina from the Swedish band Chinese Theatre work now together with the Singer Richard Flow from the Swedish goth//future pop band Strangel and the former Spacesynth artist Stefan „Fellin” Olsson. Also a new member called Klinsman has joined this band and the man is a famous Dj in Sweden. We encourage you to buy the album in our shop or by our distributors. The Mix was performed by outstanding DJ Martin Verlaan from Netherlands. Martin created an extraordinary mix which lasts 54 min 21 sec. The mix is for free and ready for download in two separate qualities: mp3 (124.5MB) and wav (549MB) file. The cover for the mix was made by Slawek Wójtowicz from the USA and artwork was done by Daniel Aguilar Bazan from Mexico. Once again we want to thank Martin, Slawek and Daniel for giving us a helping hand in creating the megamix and we wish you fast downloads and pleasure while listening to the music. Galaxy Hunter concert
  
The first gig performed by Galaxy Hunter took place on the 25th of October, 2008 in Bellisima Club, Warsaw. The concert went really well. Incredible illumination made the atmosphere "hot and space'y". The new vocalist called Aneta Antkowicz who covered for Monika Novak did her best and her magic voice and dancing made the audience feel ecstatic. Galaxy Hunter sang all songs from his first album "We came from space", but the concert was started with four new songs prepared for he second album. There were also enocres like "Children of Planet Earth" and "Eyes on Mars". Zbigniew sang live without a vocoder and prooved he doesn't need a camouflage of special effects. Galaxy Hunter is ready to give some more concerts so whenever you like to see them on the stage just write us.

As it was annouced the contest for the best cover has just ended.
We would like to thank all of guys who took part in the competition and who sent us their blueprints. We have received 36 artworks altogether and it was very hard to choose the one and only. After quite a long dispute we chose the artwork by Daniel B. from Mexico whose cover perfectly refers to the title as well as to the music that the record will be consisted of. Well, we congratulate Daniel on the reward and soon the cover will be presented to all of you. We hope you like it a lot. We feel joy because of all the intrest for the contest and for sure we will prepare another one of that kind for all the fans and and the interested parties.April 2008 - Space Sound Records invites everyone interested in taking part in a new competition. The competition involves creating a new cover for the forth-coming album "Synthesizer Tribute to Depeche Mode".The competition will run from now till the end of May. The winner will receive $200.00 + T-shirt and cap with the Space Sound Logo as well as 10 CD’s with the Depeche Mode Cover.This album looks like it’s going to be a real revelation, the artists taking part in this venture are Dreamtime, Staffan Ohman, Marco Rochowski, Anders Lundqvist, Space Project, Galaxy Hunter, AM Samurai, Starlight, Vocoderion, Krzysztof Radomski (Protonic Storm) and MindXpander.

March - 2008 - Space Project - New CD from Space Sound Records is out!!! Well, we can proudly announce the release of our first product, the cd Space Project "The Return Of Space Raiders" is now available. It’s not your typical cd but rather a Maxi Single in which many of the most talented spacesynth artists took part. One could describe it as literally a "Space Project" given that 8 different artists created their own unique remixes of "The Return Of Space Raiders". Once again we would like to take the opportunity to thank them for their awesome contribution. In our opinion this is the best track released by the Space Project duo. All the remixes sound quite different to each other to the point that they sound like different tracks. We would like to make special mention of the fabulous cover art created by Alexander Preuss. The CD itself features 55 min of music and is a forerunner to the forth-coming album Space Project ''New Dimension'' which we are currently working on. The cd is in digipack form which means that it is in a box packaging rather than a plastic case. This is to ensure that the maximum amount of the spectacular cover art is captured. The CD will be available on our website and also at the following Internet stores: CD Baby (USA), Melody Maker (Netherlands), Generator (Poland) & A Different Drum (USA) in about one week.
